La tercera película del director mexicano Michel Franco, titulada Cronic, fue seleccionada para competir por la Palma de Oro en el 68 Festival Internacional de Cine de Cannes, donde los famosos cineastas estadounidenses Joel y Ethan Coen fungirán como presidentes del jurado, del cual forma parte también Guillermo del Toro.
